Originaire de Bahia au Brésil, cette chanteuse à la voix chaleureuse saura vous faire voyager
dans son pays à travers les différents rythmes brésiliens : bossa nova, samba, samba-reggae,
forró, arrocha, MPB, etc.
Jully Freitas commence à chanter et jouer de la guitare à l’âge de
16 ans. Très vite elle se produit dans différents bars de sa ville natale, Salvador et aussi dans
plusieurs municipalités environnantes. Au fil des années, elle participe à de nombreux festivals
avec son groupe de forró (musique traditionnelle de la Saint-Jean au Nord-Est du Brésil).
Jusqu’aujourd’hui, Jully Freitas a enregistré plus de 12 CDs présentant différents styles à
travers ces propres compositions et les succès populaires. Cette chanteuse et compositrice
sait animer les foules en passant par toutes la panoplie de rythmes et d’émotions. Elle chante
aussi bien seule avec sa guitare, qu’accompagnée d’un groupe complet. Elle chante ses propres
compositions et interprète merveilleusement les grands succès chantés par Maria Bethânia,
Raul Seixas, Luis Gonzaga, Caetano Veloso, Ivete Sangalo ou encore Gilberto Gil. Récemment
arrivée au Québec, elle s’adapte très bien à sa terre d’accueil.

Just by hearing her voice, you will travel to her country: Brazil. Born in the state of Bahia, Jully
Freitas sings various rhythms like bossa nova, samba, samba-reggae, forró, arrocha, MPB,
etc. She started playing guitar and singing at the age of 16. She has performed at bars in Salvador, her hometown, and other cities nearby. Over the years, she has played in several festivals with her band.
Up to now, she has recorded over 12 CDs, including her own compositions and other hits. On
the stage, this singer and songwriter knows how to take you through a full range of emotions.
She sings alone with her guitar or with her band. Jully Freitas' setlists includes both her compositions as well as great hits of Maria Bethânia, Raul Seixas, Luis Gonzaga, Caetano Veloso, Ivete Sangalo and Gilberto Gil. Living in Montreal since 2012, she has many projects to show to her public.
